Who? Themos, Alexandra
Where? The Grove
How much? $30
Zagat: * * *, $26
Anything that's located at the Grove gets an extra star just because of location. On top of that, Ulysses Voyage has great greek food - not the half-mexican half-persian mimics that fly around. We paid $30 each because we got on top of our entrees a salad, an appetizer, and an extra entree for sharing. I've never seen a girl eating so much actually (she also said that her stomach for the first time was popping out of her belly:-)
Who? Andrew, Satsuki
How much? $45 total
Split 3 appetizers with 2 glasses of wine - very satisfying. Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) are excellent. Meatballs aren't the same homestyle that Dora makes but are delicious with their thin crispy shell and smothered in onions. Eggplant dip is likewise tasty. I am a fan of simple, fresh, light, clean cuisine. Agree with the extra star for the Grove. Great atmosphere - cozy, tavern-like, +energetic staff. Thumbs up.

Taverna Tony * * * * $$$$
Who? Themos, Stavros, Fotini, Lestas, ...
Where? Malibu
How much? $45
Zagat: 22, $35
Yes! A supreme greek restaurant with supreme greek food and supreme crowds (and that is a comment from a greek, remember). It is noisy (as it should be) yet a bit upscale. Celebrities choose it almost daily ( we saw Jessica Alba eating quietly in a dark corner). It is kind of expensive but hey, as in most cases, what you pay is what you get. Have fun!

Santorini Cafe * * * $$$
Who? Georgia's birthday group
Where? Pasadena
How much? $35
Zagat: 22, $30
The restaurant is convienently close to Old Town. It has tables both inside as well as at the roof (remember: very few restaurants in LA are not only in the ground floor...). They serve excellent meats, the tenderloin was magnificently cooked to perfection. The service was crap, but that is not the case usually. Everyone left with a full stomach!

Papa Christos + + + $
Who? Andrew, Satsuki... and previously Joyce, Themo, Steve
Where? Normandie and Olympic
(I'm not sure how this isn't in the blog already, Themo?) Greek Food, fast! Unless of course you come at 12pm when there are 20 people standing in line at the counter. I really like the lamb chop plate. Souvlaki is likewise excellent. Themo got me started on the Tomato and Feta and I've been eating it ever since. Dining area has a very patio, high-ceiling feel that makes you want to sing Greek songs and smash plates. Buy Baklava and a bottle of olive oil when you leave.

Olympians * * */ + + + $
Themo's Take: There are only a few places in the town that offer great grilled chicken, steaks, pork chops and similar stuff in huge quantities for around $10. That is because you usually pay for the environment, the service and the tips on top of the food. Figueroa and Adams, downtown.
Andrew's Take: Greasy food, so good. Get full fast. And it's at Vermont and Adams, not Fig.

Mama Voulas * * */ + + + +
Who? Andrew, Themo and Ravi
Zagat: * * *, $20
Themos' Take: Nice greek restaurant in Westwood - decent meats and relaxing enviroment. You can also say hi to mama voula herself.
Andrew's Take: I may not be a connaiseur of Greek food (like Themo) but this is about as good as I've had. It's got a cozy, warm feel. Great dishes. Thumbs up.
